GLEE

High school. For some it is a breeze, but for others High school is a harsh place. Glee is a comedic musical that focus' mainly on teenagers, the obstacles they face and also the consequences and the things you have to sacrifice to get to your destination. Glee is about a High school and a optimistic high school teacher that tries to transform the school's Glee club and inspire a group of undiscovered performers around the school to make it to the biggest competition of all, Nationals. I chose to talk about this series not only because it relates to the problems that us teenagers are going through in reality but also Glee chose the most profound topics in a typical high school such as bullying, reputation, popularity etc. This show relates to our society because it shows that todays younger generation has alot to struggle with despite what you think. But by getting support from their peers, parents and councellors students tend to succeed. It shows parents that it's not just them that are having a hard day at work, but it might also be an everyday cycle that their kid gets bullied at school and struggling to overcome it. Therefore I think that this show was created to reflect on the struggles of everyday teenagers so that their parents can understand the struggles their child is up against and can possibly help/support them.
